Wendy’s unveils new restaurant design in Powdersville

This is not your father’s Wendy’s®.

Bold curb appeal and a compelling new design both inside and out define the new Wendy’s at 103 Wall Street at Wall Street Commons in Powdersville, SC. A ribbon-cutting for the new restaurant was held this morning, emceed by WSPA-TV Chief Meteorologist Christy Henderson.

Revitalized décor, comfortable seating for approximately 60 persons, and other amenities combine to give customers a stunning new Wendy’s experience, according to Jackson Turner, President of First Sun Management Corporation, an Upstate Wendy’s franchisee.

“It’s very different from what our customers are used to, but we think they’ll really like the fresh look and feel of the new Wendy’s,” Turner said.

The interior of the new Powdersville store features open, bright dining areas and a Coca-Cola® Freestyle® beverage dispenser that allows customers to customize their drink choices. The touch screen, self-serve fountains offer more than 100 regular and low-calorie beverages, including a variety of branded waters, sports drinks, lemonades and sparkling beverages.

The new Powdersville restaurant is part of Wendy’s Image Activation effort, which includes remodeling existing restaurants and building new ones that reflect Wendy’s Smart design initiative. There are several new and newly remodeled Wendy’s restaurants throughout the Upstate, according to First Sun Management spokeswoman Marjorie Perez. The Wendy’s in Powdersville is First Sun Management’s second Smart design. The first was the Wendy’s on Pelham Road in Greenville, which opened in early March.
