Visit the Modern Speak Easy “Press Room” in Downtown Greenville

Standing tall and proud, a new “must see” on the scene in downtown Greenville located on Main Street and Broad in the heart of downtown Greenville is Camperdown Plaza. It is anchored by the AC Hotel and WSPA Channel 7 studio.
Every part of this plaza is inviting, with local art featured at every turn. This stunning new landmark has people from all over the Carolinas coming to visit and one place they are intrigued by is the Press Room a modern speakeasy that offers an intimate and unique cocktail bar experience.
The Press Room is modeled after the speakeasy’s from the 1920’s during prohibition, designed to honor Greenville’s history and incorporate cherished relics from the Greenville News.
Covered with history and begging to be explored , the Press Room is a hidden gem that looks more like a local museum than the entrance to a brand new speakeasy in the upstate.
With so much Greenville news history preserved right here it seemed only right to gather with 3 Greenville News reporter alums back in the plaza where the Greenville news started in 1874.
On these same grounds that Greenville News reporters pounded out the stories, kept you informed and covered their beats we now walk into a different world.
How to Make a Reservation
To get into the press room you first need to head to their website www.pressroomgvl.com to make a reservation on Resy. Once you do this you will be given a private code on the day of your reservation and you just enter in the same area at Juniper in the AC Hotel
The Press Room offers a cozy, classy and intimate place to enjoy some curated cocktails and the theme of “history” continues throughout.
Bartenders Dominic Leva and Jordyn Carrillo make sure the drinks connect guests with the history of the Greenville News like the Drink 1874 named after the year the Greenville News began. Head on over and check them out!
