From splash pads to water parks, the heat has all of us heading outside and Kidding Around Greenville has you covered if you are looking for a local place to cool off.

1. Tyger River Park Splash Pad

This public splash pad is located in Moore at the large impressive Tyger River Park. The park also has fields, green space, walking trails, and a large playground. It’s not very shady though so wear your sunscreen and hats and be sure to check the temperature of play equipment. Splash pad opens on Memorial Day.

This is a free train themed splash pad along the Reedy River in Falls Park. Located at RiverPlace, this railroad-themed splash fountain is a popular spot to cool off in the summer months. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, to October 31.

3. The Fountain Inn Splash Pad

This brand new splash pad is not opened yet, but is scheduled to open around mid-June.

4. Airport Park in Spartanburg

This playground features an aviation themed splash pad, which opens Memorial Day Weekend.

5. KROC Center

This one offers a zero entry pool, it is indoor so it is great for rainy days and swim classes for all ages. Check out their Facebook page for the latest details.

6. Westside Aquatic Center

They offer infant and older swim classes, indoor/covered pools and a nearby playground outside “Fun Zone” inflatable obstacle course. Great for older kids, they also offer a sailing course.

7. WATER PARKS – Greenville County

  • 7th Inning Splash – various water slides including bowl, baseball themed splash pad, full pool
  • Otter Creek – multiple water slides, splash pad, zero entry pool
  • Discovery Island

Swim classes for older toddlers on up – be aware, many day camps go to midweek so those times can be busier, call ahead if this is a concern for you.
