Food, Ferris wheels, farm fun and more are on tap this weekend around the Upstate. Here is a sampling of things to do for all ages and interests.
Greenville Greek Festival, Greenville – May 14-16
The community of Saint George Greek Orthodox Church in Greenville will present the 35th Annual Greenville Greek Food Festival Friday, Saturday, Sunday, May 14-16, with drive-thru and limited takeout only. Attendees can enjoy authentic Greek food and pastries, with ordering and pick-up from the drive-thru located off Academy Street. No pre-orders will be accepted.

South Carolina Chili Cookoff Championship, Belton – May 15 – 16
The South Carolina Chili Cookoff is a family-friendly event that qualifies the South Carolina contender for the International Chili Society’s World Finals. Get Out and Play Day Mountain Roots Herb Festival, Pickens – May 14-15
Hagood Mill Historic Site in Pickens is celebrating the great outdoors with workshops, live music and a variety of outdoor recreational activities May 14 and 15. Get plants for your summer garden and learn about native and medicinal plants:
- May 14, 7 – 10 pm. $10 per person. Evening concerts with Kismet Kind & Paper Kahnu. Concessions by Hagood Mill.
- May 15, 10 am – 4 pm. Folklife Festival with live music by Amongst the Trees, Paper Kahnu, Rachel Vanslyke & Lauren Saks.

The Great Anderson County Fair, Anderson – May 14-16

Spring Farm Fun Day at Denver Downs Farm, Anderson – May 15
Spring Farm Fun Day at Denver Downs Farm will be open 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 15. Admission is $12 per person for ages three and up. Tickets are good all day and include more than 30 barnyard activities like the giant jumping pillow, haybales, ball zone, zip line, low ropes course, giant tricycles and dodgeball. The farm’s gem mine will be open at an additional cost. Tickets are available online or at the gate.
Spring Express & Car Show, Iva – May 15
This festival in downtown Iva features food, arts and crafts, rides for kids and a classic car show with about 150 vintage vehicles from 9 am – 4 pm. For more information, follow @TownofIva on Facebook.
