Things to Do: Hot Air Affair: Rise About Cancer happening September 4-6 in Anderson

The Hot Air Affair: Rising Above Cancer is an annual event which raises awareness and funds for local cancer patients.
Cancer Association of Anderson, founded in March 2003, has the mission to lessen the burden on cancer patients by providing financial, emotional, and physical assistance as well as educational classes and referrals for cancer patients and their families. Angela Stringer, a breast cancer survivor helped by the Cancer Association from 2013 – 2015, has been Executive Director since 2016. Previously she was Director of Communications for Anderson County during which time she helped with Freedom
Weekend Aloft and Celebrate Anderson and managed the Great Southeast BalloonFest. She was bitten by the hot air balloon bug and still gets giddy when the balloons take flight. This is the Cancer Association’s 9th annual Hot Air Affair!
