For this Livin’ Upstate visit, we headed to Mauldin to check out a brand-new destination designed for fun, sports, and community. If you love pickleball—or just want a great place to hang out with friends and family—then The Pickle Yard is a spot you’ll want to know about.

With its grand opening set for March 7, this exciting new venue brings together sports, entertainment, and elevated dining all under one roof.

More Than Just Pickleball

The Pickle Yard was designed to be a true community hub—a place where people can come together to play, watch, eat, and relax.

Inside the 5,000+ square-foot space, you’ll find:

Six indoor pickleball courts

Outside, the venue features two padel courts, a fast-growing sport that combines elements of tennis and squash. These courts are especially unique because they’re currently the only public padel courts in South Carolina, making The Pickle Yard a destination for players across the region.

Padel has been hugely popular in Europe and South America for decades, and now it’s quickly gaining momentum in the United States—right alongside the pickleball craze.
