Take an Upstate culinary tour during Restaurant Week

Restaurant Week South Carolina is underway, giving you the chance to take a culinary tour of more than 50 participating Upstate eating establishments in Greenville, Spartanburg, Simpsonville and Travelers Rest.

The 11-day statewide event kicked off on August 5 and runs through Sunday, August 15.

From casual to fine dining restaurants featuring a variety of cuisines, Restaurant Week has something to satisfy all taste buds.

Participating restaurants are offering special menus for dining in, with some also offering takeout and delivery specials for diners who wish to stay home. For example, Burgers and Bakery in Spartanburg is offering a $15.50 Burger Flight special for lunch and dinner. Cribbs Kitchen in Spartanburg is offering lunch, dinner and takeout specials.

A program of the South Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association, Restaurant Week is designed to showcase South Carolina as one of the top culinary destinations in the nation by increasing awareness of the varying dining opportunities available throughout the state, organizers say.

The event allows consumers to enjoy great meals at great prices and helps stimulate business for Palmetto State restaurants.
