Jessica Atkins Few first noticed the big white house on the hill as a four-year-old eating ice cream at Jigg’s Café in downtown Piedmont. As the home’s new owner, she hopes renovation of the historic Piedmont residence will spur other revitalization projects in the town.

Spring Park Inn, as it was known from the 1850s until 1941, is being restored by the Travelers Rest Historical Society and will become a museum and educational space.
It is believed to be the oldest brick structure in Greenville County and the Fork Shoals Historical Society is raising funds to preserve the historic home known as Cedarhurst built along South Carolina’s drover’s road in 1812.
