Upstate disability advocate Sandy Hanebrink readies to walk for first time in 34 years
Sandy Hanebrink has been an advocate for the disability community for almost as long as she’s been using a wheelchair. On Sept. 22, the Mauldin native now living in Anderson, will become the first person in South Carolina to receive a medical exoskeleton from SuitX, enabling her to stand and walk on her own for the first time in 34 years.
