SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) — City leaders are moving forward with plans for a new housing development in downtown Spartanburg.
On Monday, Spartanburg City Council passed the second reading of an agreement with Morgan Silver LLC. to build 24 homes on land behind Barnet Park.
Properties are expected to start at $275,000. However, at least four homes will be sold at a maximum of $195,000.
Some council members want the homes to be more affordable when plans were recently discussed.
Spartanburg City Council’s next meeting is scheduled Aug. 13.
