Sliding Rock, Right of Passage?  Yes Please!

Sliding Rock is located in Brevard North Carolina, cool temperatures and beautiful woods.  It is a 60′ natural rock slide with a 6-7 foot deep pool at the base – perfect for you folks looking for a waterfall to slide down.   You CAN take smaller kids but I would not recommend it.

The price is around $3 dollars – then you can rent a life vest for $5.  Parking is limited so go early.  Lifeguards were manning the area – at least three are stationed around the slide and thank goodness they were because when you take the big plunge you might need one of them to pull you out.

There is ankle and knee deep water to wade in for the kids who might be too small to go down the slide.  The temperature is amazing in the woods and there are cute restaurants and other places to go outside of Sliding Rock.
