Quality of indoor air can trigger seasonal allergies

In the Upstate, ‘Spring is in the air’ means that ‘pollen is in the air’ and that spells trouble for those with seasonal allergies.

Studies show that 35.9 million Americans report having the runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, red, itchy, and watery eyes, and swelling around the eyes that often accompany the greening and warmer temperatures of Spring.

Pollen, dust and airborne pathogens exist inside, too. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the air inside our homes is often two to five times more polluted that the outside air. On average, we spend 90 percent of our time indoors, breathing air that is filled with pathogens, odors, mold and fungus spores that can trigger allergies.

Think mountains, waterfalls and beaches

Have you ever felt invigorated, alert and awake while hiking on a high mountain trail or along the beach? The air can feel electrifying like it’s full of energy. That’s because you’re breathing air that is full of ions. Ions are essential to the natural process of air purification.

At Davis Services, we recommend a residential air cleaning system that imitates nature to clean the air in your home naturally. This system known as the Phenomenal Aire Cold Plasma Generator is designed to be installed in the duct work of your home’s air handling unit. This generator produces an electric field, called a plasma field, with highly charged ions. The ions within the field act as a natural scrubbing agent for the air passing through the field.

This video explains how the Phenomenal Aire technology works to safely clean the air in your home without producing any harmful byproducts.

The Phenomenal Aire system is recommended for homeowners with seasonal allergies, asthma or other breathing issues, those with pets that can track pollen, dust and mold inside, and those with children who have asthma or other breathing problems.

We’ve also seen great results with commercial applications of the Phenomenal Aire system including installations at medical facilities, schools and offices.
