NC Apple Festival and Upper SC State Fair this weekend

(WSPA) — It’s Labor Day Weekend and that means the North Carolina Apple Festival is going on in downtown Hendersonville.
Hundreds of vendors will sell various varieties of apples, foods and desserts. Festival goers can also enjoy live music.
The opening ceremony is Friday and the festival lasts through Monday. Saturday they’ll have apple taste testing. On Sunday, you can go on an apple orchard bike tour, and on Monday they’ll have their king apple parade at 2:30 p.m. Admission is free. For more information, visit https://www.ncapplefestival.org/.
The Upper South Carolina State Fair kicked off Thursday and continues through Sunday, Sept. 9. Some new additions this year are a BMX show, a daredevil motorcycle stunt show and camel rides at the petting zoo. They’ll also have amusement rides and fair food. Admission is $8. Birds Fly South Brewery is celebrating its second year. You can celebrate with them Friday and Saturday. They’ll have seven live bands and release 10 unique beers during the two-day event.
There’s no cover charge. Just bring money for beer tokens and food. White Duck Taco, Eat Golden Brown and Delicious, Swamp Fox Donuts and Due South Coffee will be there.
