Multi-state virtual job fair on Oct. 6 focuses on work-from-home careers

A growing trend in recent years, work-from-home jobs have been more widely embraced and adopted since the coronavirus outbreak.
To help fill jobs in the remote-working environment, SC Works Greater Upstate is partnering with its counterparts around the Southeast to host a multi-state virtual job fair.
On Tuesday, October 6, companies in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee will participate in a virtual job fair that focuses on work-from-home careers in customer service, IT, virtual teaching, insurance and several other industries.
Sponsored by Sitel Group, which has more than 120 offices around the world including locations in Spartanburg, SC, Knoxville, TN and Augusta, GA, the multi-state virtual job fair will include at least 10 employers from each state, according to Johnnie-Lynn Crosby, Regional Business Solutions Director at SC Works Greater Upstate.
The October 6 event is the first multi-state virtual job fair for SC Works Greater Upstate, and a way to increase the number of potential candidates for Upstate companies, Crosby said.
“This approach will allow us to strategically expand the talent pool for companies in our region,” Crosby said. “Remote careers will be highlighted during the event, but there will be other jobs available, as well.”
Those wishing to participate in the October 6 job fair are instructed to:
