Hub City Hog Fest starts today in downtown Spartanburg
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) — Enjoy a lip-smacking good time for a good cause.
Hub City Hog Fest returns to downtown Spartanburg.
The music and barbecue festival benefits Mobile Meals of Spartanburg.
Festivities will be held in Morgan Square from noon until 11 p.m. today and continues noon until 11 p.m. Saturday, April 7.
Organizers say 45 barbecue teams will compete. The event also features 10 bands.
Entry is free from noon to 5 p.m. Friday. Entrance is $5 after 5 p.m. Friday and all day on Saturday. The event is free for children 10 and under.
Competing teams will have chicken wings to sample on Friday evening.
Samples of competitors’ barbecue and ribs are only available from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday.
