Houni’s Italian Ice opens Simpsonville location

SIMPSONVILLE, S.C. – Simpsonville just got a whole lot cooler, all thanks to sisters Morgan Calhoun and Walker Hudzik, who have expanded their Houni’s Italian Ice business by opening a second location. Following the success of their original store on Woodruff Road in Greenville, Houni’s has been dishing out a refreshing array of Italian ice, soft-serve ice cream, and their signature gelati, which is a delightful fusion of the two. With an impressive lineup of about 40 flavors, including seasonal treats like pumpkin pie, Houni’s is quickly becoming a local favorite.
“We grew up always enjoying Italian ice as kids, and so it’s like a family favorite treat,” Hudzik explained. “We knew we wanted to bring it to Greenville. The market didn’t have a ton of it yet, so we’re like, you know what? Let’s do it ourselves.”
Calhoun and Hudzik, both natives of the Upstate region and proud graduates of Furman and Clemson universities, have created a winning formula with their sisterly partnership. They bring their strengths and backgrounds together to make Houni’s Italian Ice a beloved local destination.
So, whether you’re in Greenville or Simpsonville, a visit to Houni’s Italian Ice is an opportunity to support a female-owned business that’s redefining the art of chilling in the Upstate, one scoop at a time.
Houni’s also offers event catering with their Houni’s cart and van.
