Greenville County Library hosting virtual Local Author Expo on Jan. 7

More than a dozen Upstate authors will be on hand to celebrate winter reading when Greenville County Library System hosts its annual Local Author Expo on Jan. 7.
Traditionally an in-person event, the 2021 expo will be held virtually, but attendees still will have the chance to speak with authors during a Q&A session.
Sponsored by the Emrys Foundation and the Friends of the Library, the expo features works spanning an array of genres including children’s literature, young adult and adult fiction, romance, nonfiction, fantasy, science fiction and poetry.
Featured writers are Paulette Alden, Ellyn Bache, Anne Blythe, Evelyn Everest, Paul Michael Garrison, Emily Golus, Colleen Hall, Sally Handley, Emily Martin, Charles Pate, Jr., Jordan Poss, Deb Richardson-Moore, Kimberly Simms, Kathryn Smith and Susan Zurenda.
“Each of the authors will be speaking for a few minutes, giving their elevator pitch about their books, their writing process, then at the end there will be a Q&A so you still get that one-on-one with the authors even though it’s virtual,” said Rachel Inabinet, Adult Outreach & Event Coordinator for the library system. “If anyone is an aspiring writer, this is a chance to pick their brains to see how they got published and how they focus their work.”
The Local Author Expo will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Jan. 7. Go HERE to register for the event.
