Free rides for free school supplies, tax-free weekend in Greenville

United Way of Greenville County is helping families prepare for back to school with free school supplies and free Greenlink rides on Saturday, August 6.
United Way’s School Tools will be held at Staunton Bridge Community Center, located at 165 Staunton Bridge Road, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. A satellite location will be set up at Greer Relief, located at 202 Victoria Street in Greer.
The event will include free school supplies, food, games, music, information on low cost activities and an opportunity to register for FoodShare boxes from Mill Village Farms.
United Way is sponsoring a Fare-Free Day with Greenlink to help families during the tax-free weekend. Free Greenlink rides will be offered on all routes from 8:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m.
Those attending School Tools day can access the event by riding Route 504: Anderson and getting off the bus at Bus Stop #1379: Harvest Hope Food Bank, according to the City of Greenville.
