Field Trip Travelers Rest: Upstate’s First Luxury Glamping Experience
If you’re searching for the perfect getaway that offers the beauty of nature without sacrificing comfort, Field Trip Travelers Rest is the place to be. Located just outside the city, this brand-new glamping destination provides a luxury camping experience, making it the first of its kind in the Upstate.
Founded by Kelsey and Sarah, two moms who left the corporate world behind to create something unique, Field Trip Travelers Rest offers a blend of outdoor adventure and upscale amenities. Their goal? To bring a family-friendly and community-driven camping experience to the area—one that feels like home but with the added charm of the great outdoors.
What Makes Field Trip Unique?
Unlike traditional camping, glamping (or “glamorous camping”) offers the best of both worlds: an immersive nature experience without giving up modern comforts.
At Field Trip Travelers Rest, you’ll find 23 unique lodging units, each designed to make your stay as cozy as possible. Every unit includes:
✔ Real beds for a comfortable night’s sleep
✔ Heating & air conditioning for year-round stays
✔ In-room coffee stations to start your morning right
✔ Access to a stylish lodge featuring restrooms, a community space, and an automated camp store.
A Playground for All Ages
Beyond beautiful accommodations, this glamping retreat is packed with fun activities and amenities for guests of all ages:
- Slingshot Range – Try your hand at target practice! You can bring your own slingshot or purchase one from the camp store.
- Outdoor Play Area – Featuring jungle gyms, climbing walls, and swings to keep the little ones entertained.
- Wood-Fired Hot Tub & Sauna – Relax and unwind in a cozy, eight-person hot tub or detox in a traditional wood-fired sauna.
- Cold Plunge Pool – A refreshing experience for those looking to embrace the benefits of cold therapy.
- Micro-Farm & Baby Goats – Get up close with adorable farm animals, including goats that are expected to have babies this spring!
A Dream Destination for Families, Couples, and Groups
Field Trip Travelers Rest is designed for everyone—whether you’re planning a romantic retreat, a family getaway, or a group trip. There are two types of accommodations:
- Cozy A-Frames & Geo Domes – Ideal for couples, including one special A-frame with a private hot tub.
- Larger Family & Group Units – Perfect for gatherings, with space for up to eight guests and plenty of communal areas to enjoy.
With its thoughtful design, scenic setting, and unmatched amenities, Field Trip Travelers Rest is set to become a go-to escape for locals and visitors alike. And the best part? Bookings are open now, just in time for spring break!
