Enter the Carolina Eats Memorial Day Chillin’ & Grillin’ Recipe Sweepstakes

In the South, our celebrations center around food. From Memorial Day picnics to tailgating in the fall, our best dishes are the main attraction.

While socializing has been sidelined for the time being, Livin’ Upstate is continuing our search for the best recipes in the region with the Carolina Eats Memorial Day Chillin’ & Grillin’ Recipe Sweepstakes presented by Ingles.

 

 

This year, Livin’ Upstate and Ingles are giving you opportunities to submit your delectable dishes in our quarterly recipe sweepstakes. Each sweepstakes comes with a chance to win a $250 Ingles gift card and to be entered in a grand prize giveaway.

We kicked off the year with the Carolina East March Hoops Recipe Sweepstakes won by Gail Richards of Chesnee. As the grand prize winner, Gail took home a Big Green Egg with all the accessories from Bob Burnett’s Appliance & Bedding Center in Spartanburg.

For our second sweepstakes of the year, we’re kicking off the Carolina Eats Memorial Day Chillin’ & Grillin’ Recipe Sweepstakes.

Here’s how it works:

• Submit your recipe online before 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 30. A photo of the finished dish must accompany the recipe.
• Four finalists will be selected at random and announced on Friday, May 1, on WSPA and Livin’ Upstate social media channels. Finalists will be contacted by telephone and email.
• On May 13, the finalists will come together to prepare their recipes during a recorded television segment in Studio B at WSPA’s Spartanburg headquarters. Your Carolina’s Jamarcus Gaston will be on hand, along with Ingles Chef Jasmin Queen to offer cooking tips and tricks, and some Memorial Day recipe ideas of their own.
• On May 22, the finalists will appear live on Your Carolina with Jack Megan with the grand prize winner named in a random drawing. All finalists will receive a $250 Ingles gift card and the grand prize winner will receive an LG cooking range valued at $2,299 from Bob Burnett’s Appliance & Bedding Center.
