Donations being accepted for 15th Annual Ellis & Bradley Turkey Fry for Miracle Hill

This year marks the 15th anniversary of the Ellis & Bradley Turkey Fry for Miracle Hill Ministries, with the tradition of feeding the body and soul of the hurting and needy in the Upstate taking place at the Spartanburg Rescue Mission on Tues., Nov. 23.

Upstate residents can help by donating turkeys and dropping them off at either Spartanburg Rescue Mission or Miracle Hill’s food warehouse off Keith Drive in Greenville on Fri., Nov. 12, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. or on Sat., Nov. 13 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Organizers ask that donated turkeys are not frozen.

This year, volunteers will use 60 to 70 fryers to prepare more than 600 turkeys to feed the community, according to organizers. The first year, there were five fryers.

Turkeys will feed thousands of homeless and hungry people in Miracle Hills shelters across the Upstate, along with needy families throughout the area. The annual event is presented by the Ellis and Bradley Show on WSSL 100.5.
