Dinosaur Train exhibit based on Jim Henson show comes to Greenville

GREENVILLE, SC (WSPA) –
It’s based on Jim Henson’s popular kids show “Dinosaur Train.” Just like the show, the exhibit takes kids on a time traveling adventure back to the age of dinosaurs. The museum in Greenville, which is the 10th largest children’s museum in the world, says it is using the exhbit to incorporate important early developmental skills into play.
Activities require basic math and scientific thinking skills using characters children recognize from TV.
Jessica Hayes, Director of Programming and the Children’s Museum of the Upstate. “There’s math skills on measuring dinosaurs, theres science skills about learning the difference between herbivores and carnivores,” she said.
“There’s a lot of hands on skills that children need to play together, learn together and follow directions. so it really is across the board in all the subjects.”
The exhibit opened Saturday inside the Greenville location through January 12th.
