Celebration of Freedom set for Saturday at Cowpens National Battlefield

SPARTANBURG Co., S.C. (WSPA) — If you want to learn more about the history that helped make possible the Fourth of July, head over to Cowpens National Battlefield for the Celebration of Freedom.

The free event is from 9:45 AM until 2:30 PM Saturday.

There wll be tours of the battlefield, weapons firing demonstrations, a reading of The Declaration of Independence and activities for children.

Hub City Empty Bowls is holding a bowl making sessions on Saturday from 1 PM until 4 PM. Anyone can make and decorate a bowl for free. The bowls will be sold at a fundraiser to benefit Total Ministries.

This is the second of three bowl making sessions.
