Brown-Forman, PFG, Initial Q offering free meals for service industry professionals this Saturday in Spartanburg

Brown-Forman Beverages and Performance Food Group (PFG) are teaming up with Initial Q Social Bar & Smokehouse in Spartanburg to provide complimentary meals-to-go for Upstate service industry professionals on Saturday, March 28.
The pick up location for meals is behind Initial Q and UnderPin Lanes at 106 W. Broad Street in Spartanburg at the entrance of the newly remodeled Magnolia Grande event space. Pick up time is 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Those receiving meals must sign up in advance at www.initialq.net. Complimentary meals will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
“Given the current situation we are all facing within the food and beverage industry regarding COVID – 19, Brown-Forman Beverages and many others across the country are gathering together to brainstorm creative ideas on how to help our fellow food and beverage staff during this time of crisis,” said Brown-Forman Field Marketing Manager Lisa Dozier. “Some ideas coming out of these brainstorming sessions will cost millions of dollars, and will take weeks or months to implement. Others, like this one, are being planned locally via grassroots efforts by pooling our resources together in the community.”
Dozier said the effort to feed area service industry professionals and their families is relying on the generosity of restaurant owners, the talent and planning of local chefs, corporate funds from companies like Brown-Forman, donated food and goods from local food suppliers, and many volunteers.
Similar meal giveaways were held in Greenville at Stone Pin Lanes and Revel Event Center in Greenville this week where 200 free meals were distributed over two days.
